Aims and scope

This multidisciplinary journal publishes reviewed, original research papers in all branches of modern computer and information sciences. The aim is to provide a forum for advanced works and critical analysis in these areas. Theory-oriented articles, papers on practical developments as well as state-of-the-art surveys and critical reviews of trends are welcome.

Areas of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • computing (parallel/distributed processing, grids, collaborated, networked/wireless, networks, security),
  • multimedia (audio, video, speech, musical, image, communication, medical, psychological and other signal processing: filtering, coding, transmission, estimation, detection, analysis, recognition, synthesis, compression, recording and reproduction),
  • artificial intelligence (conventional and computational intelligence techniques: pattern recognition, knowledge engineering, expert systems, neural networks, fuzzy systems, evolutionary algorithms, hybrid systems),
  • cognition (human-computer interaction and interfaces in smart environment, detection and tracking of live objects, understanding of images and scenes, live biometrics, psycho-technologies),
  • applications in areas of physics, engineering, economics, medicine, biology etc.
